Founded by Ujjwal and Ritika, partners in life as well as work, Threadsmith is an extension of both their personalities. At Threadsmith, we believe in recognizing all who lead to the rise of this venture. This is also why, unlike many other firms that are named after the head designer, this tailoring house is not named after our founders. This is to show appreciation for all of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. These factors distinguish us from other bespoke houses in India and can be attributed to our artisans’ relentless efforts and generational experience.
Ujjwal Savla
Founder & Head of Design and Craftsmanship
With a heritage rooted in textiles for two generations, Ujjwal’s passion for fashion began early. His journey led him to London’s illustrious Savile Row, where Bespoke Tailoring became his expertise. A graduate from the University of Arts London, he refined his skills in the realm of high-quality garment construction and bespoke craftsmanship.
Inspired by the finesse of Italian fabric collections on Savile Row, he embarked on a mission to create attire that not only complements appearances but also elevates individual personas. Ujjwal’s dedication to enriching lives through his meticulous artistry and unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship is evident in every piece he creates.
Ritika Chheda
Founder & Head of Marketing and Operations
Ritika Chheda’s pursuit of excellence culminated in a degree from ESSEC Business School, Paris. From collaborating with conglomerates to becoming an Innovation Strategy Consultant in London, where sustainability met innovation, her drive materialized. The fascination with bespoke tailoring’s sustainable essence during her time in London with Ujjwal catalyzed her calling. Co-founding Threadsmith fulfilled her dream of combating fashion’s environmental impact. Her profound analytical abilities shaped the venture, while her operational finesse, marketing insight, and branding acumen continue to steer the company.
